Palo Santo "Bursera graveolens" is a ceremonial tree used by Amazonian’s from the Incan era, Shamanic practices trace back to prehistory. Shamans were known to use plants to effect altered states of consciousness allowing them to transcend energies from the spiritual world.
In our modern day it can be difficult to connect with nature and slow the mind. The act of performing rituals such as burning incense has medicinal qualities that encourage our mind to be still, stabilise our mood and reconnect ourselves with nature.
