Take a Trip to Barrington Tops
Escape the expected with a drive off road, down long roads and into fields of clear open spaces. Barrington Tops is one of NSW best kept secrets full of clean rivers and really good people.
Barrington is a small village on the Barrington River near Gloucester on a cool road called Thunderbolts Way. The small town is the gateway to the Barrington Tops National Park, which is part of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia inscribed in 1986.
Our trip was to a tiny house stay, nestled between the trees and the river-stones we found an Eco Hut that has that clean crisp air we've all been longing for. A typical 24 hours looks like walks along the riverbed, catching grasshoppers in the open fields and cool nights by the fire.
A place to disconnect and reconnect with nature, be human, slow down, reset and recharge.
